Care of the Course
Certain members are ignoring 'no go' areas for trollies and buggies on the course. We expect all members and their guests to take responsibility for the care of the course.
A typical example being the 14th green/15th tee where members are bringing trollies and buggies adjacent to the teeing area. There are signs that clearly indicate this is not permitted. The reason these signs are in place is to protect and care for our lovely course.
We note that most groups adhere to these basic principles, however the Men's Committee may issue relevant traffic light notices for reported infringements.
Bunkers
Before leaving a bunker, players should carefully rake & smooth footprints made by them and any nearby made by others.
Repair of divots and pitch marks
Players should carefully repair divots and any pitch marks on the green (whether or not made by the player).
Preventing Unnecessary Damage
Players should avoid causing damage when taking practice swings or by hitting the head of the club into the ground, whether in anger or for any other reason.
Players should ensure that no damage is done to the green when laying down the flagstick.
To avoid damaging the hole, players must take care whilst handling the flagstick and the head of the club must not be used to retrieve the ball from the cup.
We appreciate everyone's support in following the above instructions to ensure our course is kept in the best possible condition for the enjoyment of ALL of us.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones may not be used on the golf course with the exception of a medical emergency. Calls may not be made or received in the clubhouse and phones should be maintained on “silent or vibrate” mode at all times, but may be used in the clubhouse to text. Calls made or taken outside the clubhouse must occur in a suitable area away from the course or the clubhouse with consideration for others. Members are requested to share the above guidelines with their guests.
